Can't believe we were leaving Lanzarote today. We all really enjoyed our stay here. We only wished that the weather was better cuz at times it was just too cloudy or windy.
I wonder what Tenerife will be like? I knew the area we are staying is very touristy. And a lot of people go there to party... hmmm?
We arrived in the airport in the North. It took us a while to get our car as we were trying to sort out all the excess cost that we had to pay for the car. We couldn't believe that we got a full tank of petrol at their own market price. It cost us around €76 for the whole tank when we could possibly fill it us ourselves for €30-40 a tank. We felt totally jibbed cuz we knew we would not be able to finish the whole tank or even half of it during our 3 night stay. So if you guys are planning to hire a car in Spain, NO "GOLD CARS"... they suck!!
We successfully checked into our hotel at Paradise Park Resort & Spa. We then headed straight to Meson Castellano for lunch. We were all so hungry by that time... luckily the restaurant didn't close down for a break.
The food we had was amazing. The food was really fresh... we chose the tapas options so we got 5 tapas to share amongst us 4. As we were eating, we were constantly looking over to see what other people were eating. A table had lots of seafood - looked so fresh. And other another table, had steak where they can cook the pieces of meat themselves. The insides were still raw so they can cook it for as long as want. All the food looked so delicious... we loved it so much. D and I loved it so much... we want to come back here again before we go!!
After lunch, we had a quick stroll along the beach. There were a lot of restaurants along the strip but they were all empty. There were staff standing outside their restaurant trying to get people to eat at their place... i couldn't believe how touristy this place was... hmm...
The beach wasn't that nice... the ones in Lanzarote was much better... esp the sand. So we decided to head back and go for a swim at the pool and a quick gym session before.
After walking & driving around town, we all preferred to just stay in the hotel for entertainment as there wasn't much to do around town. Everything was so touristy and there was just so much Brits around town. I definitely prefer Lanzarote more than Tenerife. So glad we stayed for 6 nights rather than 3!!
