If we had realised earlier, then we didn't need to hire the car for an extra day. We could have easily spent the whole day relaxing
at our hotel. We were always out on the other days so we never got a chance to spend the whole day at Hotel to just chilli and relax.
Oh well... too late.
We headed up north towards Puerto del Carmen to head to the beaches around Famara. We spent a few hours at the beach... just suntanning. I had a brief dip in the water too. It was my first time swimming in the beach on this trip... it was always so cold and windy so we never got a chance to go for a swim... it was quite relaxing. Cold at first but i quickly warmed up to the temperature.
Around 4pm, we realised how late it was so we headed to El Sol - a restaurant recommended by the hotel ppl. When we drove into town, it was so deserted. There were not a lot of people around but luckily we ask someone in a cafe for directions to find this restaurant.
We sit outside and had direct views of the sea... the seafood was very fresh too. Our favourite was actually the house salad which has melon in it. The melon was quite addictive and when mixed with the salad and tuna... hmm.. yumm!!
After lunch, we headed back to the same beach for some more sun!! We were all satisfied with our suntanning results at the end of the day. I got slightly darker - just enough for me. JLai's uneven sunburnt evened out a bit. D looks more like an African guy which he likes and M tanned darker than me but very even with no sunburn ^^
