Day 13 - Farewell Jess & Nick

My gosh, time flies by so quick. Another one of my dear friend is flying back to Australia with her boyfriend for good. Feel so sad that she is leaving but i guess everyone is all at different stages of their lives... and i guess for them, it's time to move on.

Even though we didn't get to see each other much while she was in London but it was really cool being able to talk to someone in mandarin... us with our taiwanese accents... hehe... We could just chat about anything... but now you will be leaving all of us to start a new beginning.

Jess, Nick - take care guys!! It was really nice meeting you guys. I really hope that things works out well for yous in Perth. We'll definitely keep in contact and i'll try to come over to visit you guys when i go home!!

Day 12 - Go Car

Saw one of these "Go Car" in Madrid the other day...

It's got a GPS and gives you a guided tour around the city.

Wouldn't it be so good to drive one of these around the city? whether it would be London or Sydney...

It's so cute!! Would definitely love to get one. It would be so easy to find parking!! hehe...

Day 11 - Bye Bye Madrid

Last day in Madrid...

There wasn't much that we wanted to do apart from visiting a flee market in La Latina and also trying out the food at the Mercado de San Miguel.

But the highlights for the day... was one of the girls decided to take over one of the costumes at Plaza Mayor. For charity, she took the dare and asked the guy that dresses up as Spongebob to give her the costume for a while. She was so good at it... dancing with her octopus moves!! And she attracted a lot of attention from tourists too!! It was hilarious seeing her move... so hyper so funny... so good!!

Such a good way to remember our weekend trip in Madrid... spongebob and spiderman!!

Day 10 - Madrid - nice relaxing day

Finally got to sleep in today but damm I had the worst sleep in ages. Shared a bed with one of the chicks but her snoring just totally shocked me. Couldn't count how many times I woke up during the night but it was def more than 10 times.

Anyway, I managed to survive with lack of sleep and went for a guided walk around Madrid. Headed to lunch around one of the Plaza's. (there is so many, I couldn't keep count!!)

After lunch we headed to Retiro Park to chill... the park was massive and it had an amazing pond where you could hire boats to row... it was such a beautiful day... really wish I can come more often and just enjoy the scenery and do some people watching... parks are such a good place to spend some quality time with your loved ones or just by yourself. Perfect!!

We had a flamenco show at 9pm. Both the male and female dancers were sooooo good!! The intensity of their moves and rhythm were just amazing and breathtaking. Would def love to watch another show in the future. Def worth watching one if you guys haven't done so.

After the show, we headed for dinner at a famous restaurant recommended by a lot of locals. We wanted to go there for lunch but it was full so we secured a booking for dinner instead. You could def taste the diff in quality of the food with the restaurants we went to previously... the food was really good and fresh. The mango cheesecake was a stand out!! Don't know how to describe it but it just tastes way better than the normal cheese cakes we get in other bakeries.

Such a great meal to end the night!!

Day 9 - Madrid - so sunny!!

It seems like ages since I last travelled. But my last trip was just 2 weekends ago.... Hehe cologne...

I had low expectations with going to Madrid. A lot of people have told me that Madrid is boring. So I expected we would mainly be eating.

We arrived and the weather has been in the 20's. It's amazing, sun out and such nice weather. We could literally walk out in t-shirts!! Sweet!!

Spent the day walking around. Having lunch and basically just snacking all the way to museum prado... starting with squid sandwich, pastries, jamon and other cured meats, cheese... so full man!!

It's actually a really beautiful city... the city looks pretty clean, buildings were nice and not too old and grey. We saw a lot of greens...and with the nice sunny weather, it was really nice to just sit, relax, chat and enjoy the sun!!

Day 8 - Comedy Cafe

Second time going to a comedy show. This time our work's social committee organised a comedy night for people who wanted a laugh.

So much has happened in the past couple of weeks... and I was just desperate to go somewhere and have a laugh!!

We arrived for drinks and dinner first. The show started at 9pm and had 4 acts for the night. The acts were funny and people were laughing the whole night but I couldn't help it... I fell asleep again!!

WTF?? Again?? Why do I always sleep in these type of events? Musical...concerts...plays...opera....

I know the answer!! It's because it is after work... tired...stuffy and hot... lights are turned off... stomach ache from eating too much chilli for lunch. My energy was totally drained out!!

So embarrassing man!! I had to put my head down to rest cuz my eyes kept on closing... Omg!!!

Felt so bad that I fell asleep. And I had to go home and pack for Madrid too.... so tired man!!

Day 7 - Leng Mui

I didn't get a chance to take any photos today... i was so absorbed in my work today that i just forgot to take a photo of something...

So today, I've decided to post up a photo of my dog, Leng Mui. Oh!! I really miss her a lot. Even though she can get very hyper at times but just seeing her eyebrows makes me wanna smile. ^^ It's gold/yellow and against her black hair... it's so cute when the eyebrows goes up and down... hehe...

I can't wait when i go home one day to see her and take her out for a walk. I don't know why i was so scared of her at one stage. I'm still really scared of dogs... but it's taken me a while to get use to her size. She's like 45kg... massive and strong. I was so scared of taking her out for a walk cuz i didn't know how to control her when she jumps up on people. But now i know... hehehe...
